We booked this traditional Moroccan Riad for a long weekend in Marrakech, and from start to finish, the experience exceeded our expectations. The Riad is full of charm and character, situated in an excellent location within walking distance to all the main attractions of the Medina. Communication from Riad Moullaoud prior to our arrival was seamless, and we opted for their airport transfer service, which made our arrival stress-free. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea – a lovely touch that instantly made us feel at home. The staff, especially Rashid, were exceptional. Rashid went out of his way to offer helpful advice and insider tips that truly enhanced our stay – from where to eat, what to do, how much to pay for taxis, and even where to find nearby ATMs. His hospitality and attention to detail were greatly appreciated. As you enter through the grand wooden door, a soft oud-like scent greets you, setting the tone for the Riad's beautifully curated interior. The decor is a visual delight, blending traditional Moroccan elements with a homely, relaxing ambiance. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, and our room was both stylish and comfortable, featuring a spacious bed and lovely furnishings. I highly recommend dining at the Riad at least once during your stay – the food is delicious, portions are generous, and the experience feels authentic and intimate. We also enjoyed lunch there, which did not disappoint. Breakfast on the sunny rooftop was a daily highlight – simple but tasty, with a beautiful setting to start the day. The location is unbeatable – everything in the Medina is walkable. Rashid even provided us with a map to help us navigate the souks without worry. If you're looking for local spots to eat nearby, we highly recommend the rooftop restaurants Le Slimana, Ayaso (in Spice Square), Jad Jamal, and Restaurant Dar TAZI.

This beautiful riad isn’t just a place to stay it’s a place where you’re truly taken care of, where every detail is full of heart, and where the people make all the difference. A heartfelt thank you to Rachid, the receptionist, who was truly exceptional. He helped us with everything, always with kindness, patience, and a warm smile. On more than one occasion, he surprised us with fresh fruit and mint tea, and even helped me contact an external tour organizer when I needed support. He made us feel seen, valued, and welcomed – something we’ll never forget. The cleaning staff were also amazing all of the ladies – our room was always perfectly clean, and they even folded my clothes and arranged them neatly in the wardrobe. There was always a fresh, pleasant scent in the room, and such a sense of calm and care. It’s those little touches that truly stay with you. A special thanks to the two wonderful guys at breakfast Midi and Hisham every morning they greeted us with genuine warmth and made sure we had everything we needed. Their cheese omelettes became our favourite way to start the day. And when I had an early excursion before breakfast hours, they kindly prepared our meal in advance, without hesitation. That gesture meant the world to me. My boyfriend and I also had the hammam massage at the riad and it was pure bliss. Relaxing, peaceful, and just what we needed to recharge. To the entire team at Riad Moullaoud: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made our stay so special, and left us with memories we’ll carry forever. He even took the time to organise a personalised tour, making sure I experienced the true culture and beauty of Morocco. Our stay was wonderful. Excellent staff, especially Rachid the receptionist and Mehdi the night porter. Both of them were extremely helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was a beautiful traditional Moroccan room. We had a lovely breakfast each morning that kept us full until the afternoon. We had dinner on one evening and it was delicious. Amazing views from the terrace of the whole medina. There are 2 small pools on the terrace that were clean and we felt comfortable to sunbathe and swim in them. We availed of the spa treatments and the lady was lovely. The riad is situated in an ideal spot in the medina, not too far from a taxi rank and approximately 10 minutes walk from the main square. Lots of lovely restaurants beside the riad. Overall an amazing experience.

The rooftop garden is delightful and the cold plunge pool was particularly welcome (even in early March on a hot sunny day) The rooftop bedroom was perfect for me as a solo traveller. I booked an extra night in a different room which was just amazing with a huge shower area. There were three sets of stairs connecting all the areas of the Riad and it was like a treasure trove. So many beautiful areas to sit and relax with sumptuous furniture and light fittings - so typically Moroccan. The staff were extremely attentive, patient, friendly and helpful. It was a fairly straightforward walk to the main souk, with restaurants close by and a fascinating photography museum, and the stunning Madrasa Ben Youssef just around the corner - not to be missed.
